How many times do you put a request in the additional requests part when making a hotel reservation?

I normally do by asking for extra towels when there is myself,daughter, and husband travel all together. As 3, or 4 towels just don’t do it. When they provide the individual mini shampoo bottles if staying more than 1 night I request more. Normally, my requests are not seen, or filled before our arrival I usually have to ask at the front desk.
